On October 7th, I will be running the 2018 BAA Half Marathon, in support of Boston Medical Center (BMC). I have been running since I was 12 years old, and this will be my third half marathon. This is my first time running for a cause, and I am excited to be raising money for BMC's comprehensive addiction treatment programs. We all know someone whose life has been touched by addiction, and now more than ever it is crucial that we fund effective programs to help those battling this disease. BMC is on the forefront of this fight, and offers several groundbreaking treatment programs (more information on the donation page). Currently, I am a PhD student at Boston University studying Neuroscience. As part of my program, I have had the pleasure of working with and learning from some of the great research scientists and clinicians at BMC. My goal is to raise at least $500 before Race Day.
